PURPOSE:The purpose of Road Runners is to provide children an opportunity to enhance their running abilities, and it is open to all children in grades K-5.  This program gives children a chance to meet other students in the school and the community.  Road Runners is a self-esteem builder, which offers the children a feeling of success when they finish a race and a sense of belonging by being part of a team, and overall to get healthy.

ll members need to wear their Road Runner shirts every scheduled practice. Practice begins

Practice: 2:45-3:30pm rain or shine. If it rains, we will do some activities in the gym, and if the sun is shining we will be running outside on the track.  The track and playground area has several benches where parents can come and help keep watch on all of the runners. We encourage parents, who can, to come to practice and exercise with their child.  Family fitness is a fun and positive activity for parents to get involved in with their child.

ATTENDANCE All students will be checked in and out at every practice. If a child misses a practice, the parent or guardian should contact Coach Rivers or Coach Cantrell. Due to the limited amount of practice days we need all runners to be at practice to get the most out of the program.
