 Biography

Welcome to the 4th Grade! My name is Ingrid Coombs and I teach Math, Science and Writing. Every year I get excited about meeting my new class and getting to know my students. Year after year the goal is to have a happy and productive school year.  My hope is that this year I can help students not only academically but socially as well. I want students to be responsible thinking individuals who are holding themselves accountable  for their learning.

I have been working in the school system for 18 years in both Douglas and Fulton County. In 2005 I moved to Georgia from Long Island, New York. I started as a paraprofessional in Douglas county then later moved on to be a teacher in Fulton County. As of 2019, I returned to Douglas County which is great because it is closer to home. I have a 14 year old daughter who I also spend a lot of time with.

I have a love for children along with a love for teaching. I come to work not only to teach but to inspire, help set the foundation, make learning fun and enjoyable but also be a role model for our future. Let’s make it a great year, together.
